○ 광주환경운동연합이 8월, 여름 을 맞이하여 ‘일상 속의 물과 에너지’를 주제로 하는 자연캠프에 참여할 어린이 참여자를 모집한다.

○ 8월 6일부터 8일까지 2박 3일 동안 담양운수대통마을에서 진행되며 유익한 교육과 재미있는 체험이 어우러진 다채로운 프로그램들이 준비되어 있다.

○ 첫 날에는 기후변화 체험관 방문, 하천에서 배우는 생태와 물 건강 그리고 시청각 교육 등의 교육 프로그램, 둘째 날에는 기상미션을 시작으로 대나무 물 총 만들기, 물놀이, 다슬기 잡기, 담력 테스트 등의 체험 프로그램, 그리고 마지막 날에는 천연비누 만들기, 주먹밥 만들어 먹기로 구성되어 있다.

○광주환경운동연합은 이번 캠프에 참가하는 어린이들이 모든 활동에 적극적으로 참여 할 수 있도록 유도하여 추억을 스스로 만들어갈 수 있는 시간을 가질 것이다.

지구의 날을 맞아 광주에서는 주말을 이용해 시민들과 함께 지구의 소중함을 배우고 체험하는 기념행사를 금남로에서 갖었습니다. 4월 23일(토) 오전 11시부터 시작된 지구의 날 기념행사는 자전거대행진이 그 시작을 열었습니다. 매일 자동차로 점령된 도로를 이날 하루만이라도 자전거로 달려보는 자전거 대행진에는 학생 및 시민 200여명이 함께 했습니다.

금남로 전일빌딩에서 금남공원까지 300m거리는 차없는 거리로 변신해, 다양한 문화공간, 체험공간, 전시공간으로 가득 채워졌습니다.

특히  차없는 거리 금남로에서는 다양한 시민참여마당과 주제마당이 진행되었는데 자원의 순환과 재활용을 테마로 하는 마을기업들도 함께 참여했습니다. 주제마당에는 도시농업과 탈핵과 에너지, 동물권 등 권리마당 등 지구를 생각하는 공간들이 금남로에 펼쳐졌습니다.

광주환경운동연합은 체르노빌과 후쿠시마를 기억하는 기억의 방을 만들어 시민들에게 탈핵관련 전시와 함께 탈핵에 대한 시민 메세지를 모으는 활동을 전개했습니다.  ‘기억의 방’에 참여한 시민들은 방에 마련된 노트에 핵발전에 대한 각자의 생각을 적어주었습니다.
