광주환경운동연합 2018년 정기총회 개최.

최홍엽 조선대학교 법학과 교수, 공동의장으로 선출

◦광주환경운동연합은 1월 25일(목) 동명동 대광새마을금고 대회의실에서 2018년도 정기총회를 개최하고 최홍엽 신임 공동의장을 선출했다고 밝혔다. 2년 임기로 박태규 공동의장과 함께 광주환경운동연합 공동대표직을 수행하게 된다.

◦ 최홍엽 공동의장은 현 조선대학교 법학과 교수로 조선대학교 법대 학장, 법학연구원 원장을 역임했다. 2008년부터 광주환경연합 집행위원, 한반도대운하반대광주전남교수모임 운영위원, 광주햇빛발전협동조합 이사 등 환경시민운동 분야를 비롯한 이주노동자 등 노동약자 인권을 위한 활동을 해왔다.

◦ 광주환경운동연합 상설의결 및 집행기구인 집행위원회 위원으로 조만형 동신대학교 교수, 이채연 지역문화관광연구소 소장, 추장훈 변호사를 추가로 선임했다.

◦ 광주환경운동연합은 2018정기총회에서 시민참여와 소통, 연대 협력을 통해 생태민주주의 실현, 생명안전도시를 구현한다는 기조로 기후보호와 에너지전환, 환경교육, 회원참여 및 조직 강화를 중점사업으로 결의했다. 영산강 등 하천 재자연화, 자원순환 구축, 유해물질로부터 안전한 도시, 일회용품없는 광주만들기 등을 연속사업으로 진행한다.
