미-러 신전략무기감축조약(New START)
연장을 환영한다

참 잘했어요! 러시아와의 신전략무기감축조약(“New START”)의 연장에 미국이 동의함에 따라 두 국가가 보유한 전략 핵무기 자산 중 △핵탄두 총 1,550개, △발사대 총 800대, △대륙간탄도미사일(ICBM), 잠수함발사탄도미사일(SLBM), 전략폭격기 총 700기로 2026년 2월 5일까지 줄이기로 합의했다. 그들은 이 조약의 신뢰안보구축조치(CSBM), 군축, 핵비확산을 실천하여 핵 위협으로부터 인간의 안보를 지키겠다고 서약하였다. 그리고 나아가, 저러한 핵무기 국가들이 UN 핵무기 금지 조약에도 동참하기를 희망한다.

What a nice job, Uncle Sam! On the extension of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (officially, “New START”) with Russian Federation, stays the United States for reducing strategic nuclear weapons of their own to 1,550 of their heavy warheads, to 800 of their launchers and to 700 of their ICBMs, SLBMs, heavy bombers until February 5, 2026. They pledge to keep human security from nuclear threats by implementing nonproliferation, disarmament and confidence & security-building measures of this treaty. And we hope those of the nuclear-weapon states join in the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, also.
