5월 20일(토) 오전 9시 부터

인천수목원 반디논에 전통적인 방식으로 하는 모내기가 있는 날입니다.

인천환경운동연합 청소년 소모임 녹색바람 학생들과 인화여중 학생,

그리고 인천환경운동연합 회원들과 함께 장수천 반디논 모내기에 참여 하였습니다.

이 논에 모내기를 한 지 어느덧 5년째 입니다.

농약을 전혀 사용하지 않고 친환경유기농 방식으로 재배하면서

여기서 거둬들인 쌀은 예쁘게 포장을 해서

다음해 볍씨소독하는 사람부터 시작하여 모내기에 참여 하는 사람들,

구경온 사람들가지 모두 나눠주었으며, 모내기 하는 수고로움을 잊게하는 선물이었습니다.

반디논 쌀을 받아든 사람들은 농사짓는 수고로움을 알기에 감사함으로 받는 쌀입니다.

1번 논은 토종볍씨를 심는 곳이고 2번논부터 7번논까지는 인천환경운동연합 청소년 소모임

녹색바람 학생들이 볍씨소독부터 모판만들기, 볍씨파종까지 한 모를 심었습니다.

인천환경운동연합은 대안열음학교 학생들과 함께 2번 논을 배정받아

열심히 심었습니다.

모를 심으면서 우리가 주식으로 먹는 쌀의 소중함을 다시금 느끼는 시간이었습니다.

허리도 아프고, 내리쬐는 햇빛도 따갑고…..

모를 심고나서 장수천네트워크에서 주는 맛있는 떡을 나눠 먹으니

맛이  꿀떡 ^^ 그대로였습니다.

자원봉사로 이루어진 약 300여명의 여러 단체들의 참여를 보면서

전통적인 방식으로 치뤄지는 이 모내기가 인천대공원이 있는 한

꾸준히 이어지기를 바랬습니다.

반디불이 서식여건을 고려하기 위해 반디 논이재 정비되어 많은 생물을 관찰 할 수 없었고,

금개구리와 장지뱀을 찾기 위해 여기저기 둘어 보았지만 모습을 보여 주지 않았습니다.
