– 충청권 4개 환경운동연합 공동기자회견 진행 –

충북환경연합, 대전환경연합, 세종환경연합, 충남환경연합 등 충청권 4개 지역 환경운동연합은 4월 11일(화) 14시 충북도청에 모여 충청권 미세먼지의 주요 원인 중 하나인 ‘충남석탄화력발전소 문제해결을 위한 충청권지자체 공동대응 촉구 기자회견’을 진행하였다.

가장 중요한 환경문제로 인식되는 미세먼지 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 산업단지, 발전시설, 자동차, 연소·소각시설, 공사현장 등 우선 국내의 발생 요인을 해결해야한다. 그런데 정부는 석탄화력발전소 건설계획 취소 등 실질적인 대책은 마련하지 않고 도리어 20기에 이르는 석탄화력발전소를 증설하겠다고 하고 있다.

현재 우리나라에 가동 중인 59기의 석탄화력발전소 중 충남에 절반에 이르는 29기의 석탄화력발전소가 가동 중이며, 충남의 석탄화력발전소는 특히 충청권과 서울, 경기에 많은 영향을 미치은 것으로 나타나고 있다. 하지만 서울, 경기의 지자체가 충남의 석탄화력발전소 문제에 대해 공조하는 것과 달리 충청권은 아직도 충남의 석탄화력발전소 문제에 대해 강건너 불구경하고 있다.

활동이 진행되었습니다.

인천지속가능발전협의회와 인천환경운동연합 물, 바다위원회 위원들과 함께 해양쓰레기를

수거하여 분류하는 활동이며, 이 활동을 통하여 해양쓰레기 예방및 정책의 기초자료를

확보하는 것입니다.

해양쓰레기 모니터링 하는 앞날 강한 바람과 폭우에 방산대교 아래 소래갯벌에 있던 쓰레기들이

바람에 날려간듯 합니다.

시흥환경운동연합은 해양쓰레기 모니터링 활동을 꾸준히 해왔던지라

 김문진 사무국장이 함께 나와서 쓰레기 수거 및 분류조사표 작성에 대한것을

교육해 주었습니다.

저울을 미쳐 준비하지 못해 이번 모니터링에는 무게를 측정하지 못했지만,

해양쓰레기 모니터링은 수거하는 것보다 분류하여 표에 작성하는 것이

더욱 시간이 많이 든다는 것을 알게 되었습니다.

해양쓰레기를 분류하면서,

외국기인으로는 중국  플라스틱 음식포장이 하나 있었습니다.

중국에서 마신 물병포장인듯 합니다.

바다가 돌고 돌듯이 해양쓰레기들도 바다를 따라 돌고 돌아

이웃나라인 우리나라까지 날아온 중국산 쓰레기….
