이경호 국장 :대전환경운동연합에서는 회원님들과 함께 매월 에너지 실천과제를 실천하고 있습니다. 5월은 ‘육식 줄이고 채식하기’인데요, 혹시 육식을 많이 하시나요?

추명구 회원 : 어렵네요, 저는 육식 자체를 많이 안하는 것 같습니다. 한 달에 300g이하 정도 먹는 것 같습니다. 집에서 일하고 직장에 따로 다니지 않아 회식이 없어서 그런지 다른 사람들보다는 고기를 덜 먹는 것 같습니다. 인공으로 만든 햄이나 가공음식도 잘 먹지 않습니다.

이경호 국장 : 소고기 1kg 생산하는데 물이 10kg 풀이 10kg정도 들어간다고 합니다. 또한 이렇게 고기생산에 발생되는 메탄가스가 기후 변화에 많은 영향을 미친다고 합니다. 70~80년대 보다 육식의 소비는 한 100배정도 증가했다고 합니다. 앞으로도 적은 육식으로 지구살리기에 동참해 주세요

이경호 국장 : 요즘 관심 있는 환경문제가 있으신가요?

추명구 대표 : 기후변화와 대기질, 초미세먼지에 관심이 많습니다.
전에 대기오염 모니터링에 참가한 적이 있는데, 직접 대기질을 관찰하면서 대기질과 초미세먼지에 대해 관심이 많아 졌습니다. 또한 아이를 키우는 입장에서 이러한 대기 중에 오염물질은 걱정될 수 밖에 없구요,
PM 2.5는 에너지와 많은 연관성이 있다고 합니다. 전기를 많이 생산하기 위해 화력발전소의 이용이 늘고 그로 인해 배출량이 엄청나고, 자동차의 배기가스가 이러한 초미세먼지의 양을 늘리는 주범이라고 합니다.

그리고 또 대중교통이 있는데요, 제가 사는 지역은 목동인데,
이쪽지역으로 들어오는 버스는 614번 1개가 있습니다. 배차 간격도 15분 이상이 되구요, 로또 식의 지하철 2호선 역사 유치보다는 이렇게 대중교통에 취약한 지역에 버스를 배차 시간을 10분 미만으로 줄여도 교통의 유동성의 기대효과는 더 클 것 같습니다.
그렇게 늘리면 타는 사람이 없다고 얘기 할 수도 있지만 지금 지하철운영에 있어 많은 적자를 보고 있는데요, 그 적자보다는 훨씬 적은 금액이 나올 것 같습니다. 제가 사는 이 지역 이외에도 찾아보면 대중교통에 취약한 지역은 많을 것입니다. 버스의 배차 간격을 줄이고 노선정리를 했으면 합니다.

이경호 국장 : 대전환경운동연합에 바라는 점이나 해주고 싶으신 말 있으신가요?

추명구 대표 :
요즘 에너지 절약하자는 취지의 많은 캠페인을 하는데 예를 들어 ‘세탁기 1번 돌리는데 얼마의 돈이 듭니다’라는 스티커를 만들어 직접적으로 돈과 연결 시켜 몸으로 체감하는 절약 방법을 해보았으면 합니다. 몇 Kw가 절약 되느냐 보다는 얼마가 정확하게 나와 돈을 얼마나 절약하고 있는지 알 수 있도록 그런 자료가 많았으면 합니다.
또한 앞으로는 먼저 실천하고, 앞서서 행동하는 활동가들이 많이 나왔으면 합니다. 사람들이 ‘저렇게까지 해야돼?’라는 말이 나올 때까지 앞장서서 활동해주셨으면 좋겠습니다. 더욱 발전하는 대전환경연합이 되었으면 합니다.
