[13차범국민행동] 이재용 구속 영장 기각에 분노한 마음, 광화문으로 모였다

추운 날씨와 폭설에도 불구하고 전국 35만 촛불

소복이 내리는 눈을 밟으며 촛불이 모였다. 내리는 눈이 촛불을 방해할까 염려하는 마음은 밤사이 쌓인 눈을 청소하기 위해 모이는 걸음으로 이어졌고, 광장 한쪽으로 쌓인 눈은 누군가의 손에 눈사람이 되어 광장 주변을 지켰다. 설을 한 주 앞둔 1월 마지막 촛불은 힘차게 빛났다.

광장에 모인 시민들의 화두는 단연 이재용의 구속영장 기각이었다. 재벌 앞에 멈춘 법에 대한 비판의 목소리는 뜨거웠다.

삼성의 전자제품을 수리하는 노동자는 "삼성은 이번 주 법에 두 번의 양해를 받았다"며, 하나는 삼성서비스 노동자를 직접 고용하지 않은 것에 대해, 또 하나는 뇌물로 부당한 이익을 취한 것에 대해 면죄부를 받았다고 말했다.

이재용의 구속영장 기각에 항의하며 노숙농성에 들어간 법률가들에 대한 시민들의 응원도 뜨거웠다.

돈 앞에 법이 무릎 꿇고, 권력이 있는 이들은 처벌받지 않는 세태가 바뀌어야 한다는 광장의 외침을 법원은 무겁게 받아들여야 할 것이다.

조윤선과 김기춘이 블랙리스트 작성으로 구속되었지만, 이들이 탄압하고 왜곡한 문화예술, 체육계의 현실은 아직 풀어야 할 숙제다. 이들의 '내사'를 받은 독립영화 배급사 <시네마 달>은 존폐의 위기에 처했다. 그럼에도 <시네마 달> 김일권 대표는 '촛불이 있는 곳에 카메라가 함께 할 것'이라고 의지를 밝혔다.

광장은 풍성해지고 있다. 다산콜센터 상담 노동자가 여성노동자의 현실을 이야기하고, 월성원전 인근 송전탑 아래 사는 주민이 노후원전 폐쇄와 탈핵을 호소했다. 사드배치에 반대하는 성주 주민, 대기업의 횡포로 하루하루 더 어려워지고 있는 중소상인의 목소리가 퍼졌다. 민주주의의 광장이 된 광화문은 우리가 있는 모든 곳을 광화문으로 만들어 갈 것이다.

다음 주말은 설날이다. 13차까지 달려온 범국민행동은 광장에서 모이기를 한주 쉬어가지만, 명절을 맞아 만나는 가족, 친지, 이웃들과 박근혜 즉각 퇴진과 더불어 더 나은 사회를 만들어가자고 이야기하자. 명절을 즐거운 마음으로 맞이할 수 없는 세월호 유가족들을 비롯한 이웃들을 기억하고 연대하자.

처음 박근혜 퇴진의 촛불이 타오르던 10월 29일, 13주의 주말을 광장에서 보내게 될 줄 예상한 사람은 없었다. 조금 더디게 느껴지더라도 우리는 포기하지 않는다. 지금 세상을 변화시키는 가장 큰 힘은 바로 광장에 모이는 우리라는 것을 알기 때문이다. 이번 한 주도 수고한 서로에게 따뜻한 격려의 박수를 보내자. 우리는 할 수 있다.
